#REDACTED, Posted: Apr 10 2002 at 2:19 PM, Rating: Sub-Default, (Expand Post) OMFG would love this belt for my SK, the ac is awesome and the haste would make my CoF useless, hell i would trade fungi and CoF for this toy without thinking twice. Dex would make my procs even faster and agi would be a nice ac bonus.
RE: WoW
# Apr 16 2002 at 11:45 AM Rating: Decent
See'ing as this is triggered it would be my guess that it would stack with our CoF haste just like chanter or shaman haste does

That's probably what they said about the CoF the first time it was dropped.
#REDACTED, Posted: Mar 12 2002 at 8:09 PM, Rating: Sub-Default, (Expand Post) I know this may sound stupid or jusy insane, but my friend got this belt and we had a little free time so I started a new human warrior. We gave him the belt and almost full Colbalt plus some matchless dragon hide armor. When I tried to use the effect it said I was to low :( So anyone know what lvl I gotta get my watrrior to use this?
RE: When can you use proc?
# Apr 22 2002 at 8:16 PM Rating: Default
Most Luclin stuff says "recommended level of 50". Obvisoulsy the belt doesn't say that, but my educated guess would be that you have to be 50 to use it. Their way of cutting down on twinking a bit.
Uber belt proc
# Mar 08 2002 at 1:32 AM Rating: Good
I was lucky enough to win this belt tonight. The proc is indeed 30% haste and 50 sta. the buff does stack with vog altho i would assume you only gain the STA portion of the buff at that point. It does not stack however with shammy STA buffs. right now testing out stacking issues. I have this stupid Overfiend Fury debuff on me atm and for some reason the spell is not taking hold. This I assume to be the reason.... Will try to confirm if this stupid thing ever wears off.

P.S Yes I'm a ranger with this belt. /cheers

Im not sure that I understand completely, but you are focusing on exactly what information I want, that being:

1) Does VoG (or any other high end chanter haste spell) overwrite this? Based on your message, it appears that VoG is sticking on you, in which case, the 30% haste that you get is overwritten by VoG (but you still get the STA buff).

and 2) DOES THIS STACK WITH SHM STA? If not, that drastically decreases the appeal of this belt (not that it isnt great, just...)

Anyways, if you could elaborate on that, that would be great.

It was indeed the pesky Overfiend Fury debuff that was preventing the spell from sticking. after losing Aego i had to dispell myself to get rid of the debuff and the spell then took hold. /cheers

#REDACTED, Posted: Feb 25 2002 at 12:39 PM, Rating: Sub-Default, (Expand Post) Is this counted like a chanters haste? Or will it stack with a chanters. Or is it just like the normal haste only its triggered.
RE: haste?
# May 01 2002 at 8:43 PM Rating: Decent
Given that it is triggered, it is counted as a haste spell, so in answer to you question, yes.

I know I might get flamed for this, so sue me. This thing looks stat wise like it had rogues and monks in mind, And, yes, both need str to get more damage.

Netherless, this item basicly owns, and has great stats, and an awesome effect. Good luck to those rolling on this bad boy.

No flames here. It would be nice for a Monk... or Warrior... or Pally... or SK... or Ranger... or Rogue...

OK, would be nice for any Melee.

As for the weight thing, I can answer that right now. My Warrior weighs 170 right now and his inventory is pretty much empty. If I give him 2kpp, I'm overweight. What I'm saying is that low weight isn't just a concern for Monks, although they do have more problem with it than other melees.
RE: Can a worms
# Mar 04 2002 at 10:46 AM Rating: Default
heh..
I am a monk myself, but I would rather have this for the Vah'shir Bard I would like to make.. They don't have a lot of agi/dex to begin with, and there's already TONs of stuff that gives str/sta/wis for them, but not a lot of stuff that gives dex/agi.
This would be great for any class, however.. that proc just rocks!

#REDACTED, Posted: Jan 24 2002 at 1:35 PM, Rating: Sub-Default, (Expand Post) first off i feel there is a great misconseption about shamans. they do not med like all other casting classes. they stand and therefore are able to melee in between canni.second they solo. i am a 54 shaman and tank mobs a 54 melee can't. i have dual weild if ya count pet and i have slow. haste is most important on shaman as well as low delay as they have short times between casts for jabs.and hp = more canni, means more mana and lastly this is the only loot from this mob a shaman can use. more detail is needed to explain getting most from a shaman but this is too long as is

Verant tends to change their mind quite a bit. Shadow Rager. Was no drop, then one day, randomly became droppable. =) Verant decided to also, in their infinite wisdom, make the Iksar only Stone of Morid useable by all beastlord classes. (Would you give up 5 stamina for 30 cold and fire resist, I think so~) ... point is this:

1) I'm from Druzzil Ro, and though I may have negative personal opinions about Stabbinz and his player, I'm sure some uber player in Hoss or Vindication has this belt, and he's seen it. I doubt the player just decided to be a jerk and say "it's no drop go away~" to Stab.

2) I can confirm that headband is now no drop :) Seen it with my own two eyes. (Headband of many visions thingy. Friend had a twink monk with it on =) )

3) Verant is not perfect. Verant makes mistakes. I find it very sad they'd waste time and $$$ to make something like this NO DROP instead of using that money to hire us some more GM staff so we can actually get help with rezzes and actually get answers to our petitions about deaths to serious bugs and whatnot within 30 minutes.

PS -- Stab is a rogue, and he'll steal every plat from you every chance he gets ^_^ Watch your wallets on Druzzil fer him, he overcharges 200% + =D

Many items were droppable when they first came out, bu VI changed them over to no drop, even the versions that were already being worn. 'Headband of many visions' is such an item.

Uoi... I'm gonna say it...
# Jan 08 2002 at 12:56 PM Rating: Decent
...but not gonna like it. This has monk and rogue written all over it. There are no other classes in the game that would be able to use this better. And the arguement can't be made for other warring classes. Agi and Dex are not primary requisites for those classes, they are for rogues and monks.

Although, I could see a new way of rolling for items like this though.

Monks get a +7 to thier rolls, rogues a +5, and everyone else a standard roll. This way, the roll can still go anywhere, but, it does favor the intended classes. As a wizard, I would pass on something like this anyways, this is a VERY nice piece, and it was not intended for casters. It can be used by many, yes, but was designed for only some.
#REDACTED, Posted: Dec 30 2001 at 12:20 PM, Rating: Sub-Default, (Expand Post) this belt is no drop even thought it says its not in the picture saw a 60 warrior on Druzzil ro with it he says it no drop

All of you miss the point on any item by saying its a (monk ) ( warrior) or any other item.
Point of fact its all / all any class or race can use. So if the person was there to help take down the mob why should they be excluded ??????
RE: classes
# Apr 30 2002 at 12:05 PM Rating: Default
that's why your group agrees beforehand on how they're going to handle desirable items. if nothing is specified, it should default to 'everyone rolls' (unlesss it's No Drop. then what'd be the point for your warrior to win it if he or she can't use the item?).

and really, my caster wouldn't mind having a the extra strength, dex and agility.

RE: classes
# Jan 21 2002 at 1:03 PM Rating: Default
The point is that this item is good for melee classes, not clerics, not casters, melee, and if a caster started saying they wanted this because they helped kill the mob they would not be taken seriously. Same deal on items that have stats that are good for casters and only casters but are still all/all
RE: classes
# Jan 02 2002 at 8:26 AM Rating: Default
Because it has haste, and that would be wasted on anything but a melee class.
RE: classes
# May 03 2002 at 1:42 PM Rating: Default
I quote from above "Because it has haste, and that would be wasted on anything but a melee class."
first point: Just because an item has haste dosen't mean it's only for melee classes. Actualy there are several items on the high end of the game that give (excellent) haste that are caster only.
second point: Look at the item as a whole. Yes this belt screams melee with all the bonuses it gives. But even without the haste it screams melee. The point is, just saying that it has haste so is a melee item ignores the rest.
Third point: Would you belive that pure casters can get ahold of some of the most potent weapons in the game? Hard to belive, they arn't very common, and hardly anyone uses them (and a few don't even drop any more) but there are a few things such as the Blam stick--if I remember correctly it's a realy sick weapon that's either int caster or mage only. If a mage on a raid had one it would probably benifit the entire raid for them to go into melee with it equipped rather than sitting back. Also, a necro equipped with the right weapon, fear kitting...ouch! Don't forget shammy/necro who consider hp=mana. The 50 sta from the proc would definatly help!

Now I'd perfer to see this on a melee that I regularly group with, but if for some unknown reason I was in a pick up group and this dropped, I'd expect everyone (including me) to roll on it.
Maybe I'd be nice and give my roll over to a monk. Maybe.

To say an item with haste and all/all should not go to melee or hybrids is to say an item with flowing though 5 thats all/all should not always go to a hybrid or caster.

last 4 weeks i have died 5 times while in a group had lay hands up and used it you see, on the Monk 1st time (he outdamages me by a LOT SO MORE IMPORTANT TO GRP) 2nd time Cleric no cleric we all go bye bye's 3rd Monk again, 4th Shammy (no cleric) 5th was chanter, tough call cleric crack just went and haste was about to go, Chanters are important but not a first priority ( yes i love Clarity and haste and Boon chanters are cool but not as important as some others). All classes have a use Paladins have a get out of Jail free card it's Lay Hands we also have the Ac and Hp to take damage, thats what we are about thats why we have Taunt Spells, Bash / Taunt / stun / flash of light = Aggro'd Pally, Sk's have the same methods. Beside the haste, i would use this for the stats alone, soloing undead with Ghoulbane and my undead proc spell cast on it gives me a proc of up to 150 and one of up to 245. First time i used it i had 4 procs on one Mob totaling over 700dmg, the extra 20 dex would be cool, +10str =more damage and the Agi less Dmg taken. So in answer to all those who Flame Paladins and Shadow knights, if i'm ever in your group and save YOUR *** rethink your juvenile, dated and somewhat boring attitude :Yawns it's an old point of view that does not mature with age.

...and I hate it when people say this as much as the rest of you...

But this is a monk item. Not that it isn't great for other melee classes (and pretty much any class for that matter) too, but it's extra-nice for monks. Only 0.3 weight, and basically it has the above listed stats +30% haste and +50sta, considering the effect lasts for 72 minutes and is triggered. But any character I have could benefit from one of these, so hook me up! What must this cost, 1 mill. pp? Or more? I can't believe it's not No Drop, or Lore for that matter.

You ppl are the stupidest newbs i've ever heard. Give this to a Ench????????

1. This item gives 50 STA buff, at lvl 57 I KNOW that, that much STA can be 350+ HP, anyone know how much that help when you are tanking something that QUADS for 500?

2. Rogues are totally entitled to get this item, any guild raid that goes for this item, they SHOULD have a warrior/sk/pally that can taunt off a HUGE BS.

3. WAR/SK/PAL should be the 1st 3 classes to recieve these items for many reasons, 1 of them for the fact that they NEED to draw agro to taunt big mobs, clerics CANT keep up with 5-6 targets getting hit for 300+ randomly

4. 1st of all rangers are a very usefull and powerfull class, but they would go after the other tank classes because they MUST not get agro, at higher lvls rangers will most likely have less than 100 AC than PAL/WAR/SK. That matters a lot, and yes monks also must not draw agro but they can FD, Rangers have a more permanent FD when they draw agro.

I was under the impression that at level 60, you gain 4.2HP for every point of stamina. I don't know your class, so it might be different if you're a warrior. Secondly, if you're tanking mobs that quad for 500, I'd assume you're raiding. If you're raiding, I'd assume you have a Shaman along. If you have a Shaman along, I'd assume you'd have a STA buff (seeing as you're tanking and all). If you have a STA buff, you can't use this ability. Why? Cuz it doesn't stack with Shaman STA buffs. As for what classes would make the most use of it, I'd say SK/Pally, Ranger, Rogue, Monk. All can solo quite efficiently at level 60, and that's where this belt really shines.

EDIT NOTE: typo :)

C'mon people, this is an insane item. Tis dropable, CAN be farmed, all classes can use, and adds some amazing stats. Truely, a wonderous item. But, think about it (and its ability to royally twink out a char.) it may get nerfed :(
I hope the it dosent, but this just seems too good to be true. Now lets all join hands and hope VI dosent realize they created a monster.....

# Dec 21 2001 at 2:01 PM Rating: Default
I understand the problem with the stats, just incredible. But about the haste, you have never made a gnome warrior have you? The clockwork watchmans vambraces have 10 charges of the effect cog boost, that is a 40% haste, can be activated by a lvl 20 gnome cleric or warrior, and is rechargable. Warriors could run around with the haste you were talking about since velious came out. And the armor is made by players, the farmed components are fairly common.

But to say that warriors can easily outdamage monks now, monks can have this, CoF and their epic all stack. Plus monks are getting these insane fists that are what, 12/16 plus godlike stats? If you compare similarly equipped and same levels of the two classes, there is no way a warrior would outdamage a monk without tossing one of their disciplines out there. Forgive me but it is complaining like this that was completely unwarranted that got Mrylokar's Dagger of Blood unnecessarily nerfed the first time.

Flame all you want, I won't read this again anyway.

Here Here. I've never played a gnome after about level 12, but I'm telling ya, them vampraces are more common tha ya think. Since the day the recipie was found, they were assembly line mass produced. But any way. Monks are wicked insane on the damage, Warriors just wicked, rogue, if they stay in the back, deliver some sweetness like no other, almost. and the complaining about an item eing too good or unbalancing is pure BS. The gys down at VI take time to develop and test an item. MDoB got nerfed cause a few people said oh god, Rogues will domnate all now, watch out it'll unbalance everything. and guess how many people actually have it or the nerfed version? go ahead, use your fingers, you might be able to use 1 hand a server. Flame me if ya like, I don't mind. Have a nice day.

Unbelievable! So whats the secret of killing this mob? This and a COF when you have no-one to cast haste on you is incredible! I doubt it stacks with cast haste, but 72 minute duration 30% haste +COF 36% haste would mean 66% ALL THE TIME at least! Any toon that wields a weapon in melee should have a haste item - plain and simple. Why you would want to exclude certain classes from increasing their damage when you will be fighting along side them is beyond comprehension. Granted I would probably get all the Warriors and Melee classes outfitted in these before giving them to the Battle-Shaman and meleeing Chanters, but better equipment for your guildmates will help everyone out.

Very Funny, I am a Paladin and I am not insulted, just amused at yer ranting. I agree with those that who ever has the merit would be awarded this. In my time of playing I would probably never see this on my waist (I do so hope, like every other player in the game), and that hope is what keeps me playing. Also, I hope to never group with people with this kind of mind set. I'll repeat, ANY melee class would greatly benefit from this GODLY BLESSED belt! And I hope VI doesnt go out on a nerf binge cause people would complain that Monks would totally unbalance the game with this! Hmph! Hell, I love grouping with Monks! they are fun to play and awesomely to watch! Then me from behind,LoH, cause FD didnt work and bam! he back up and kicking butt again!

Classism in EQ pisses me off, like you have just now, it says all/all, and rangers SKs and pallies all have there purpose and haste gear is part of that purpose too. My Enchanter wears a FBSS because I melee, I still use my Incandecent wand, which procs colour flux. While level 51 on raids I have nothing else to do and that extra stun does alot of casting interupts and hey I do about 100 damage in the same time most rangers do 700 or so, not alot but its not like I am doing anything else. If this effect stacked with my spells hastes I would use this item too. Just because rogues do alot of damage doesn't give them a right to mouth off about who should and should get this piece.

What are you talking about this is perfect for a paly, ranger or shadowknight. I saw 2 CoF drop of naggy in one night both were won by rouges and everyone got pissed. Know why? Rouges do best when they backstab and if they have some ubber haste they are gonna pull agro and i bet your *** you dont have as many hp as a war, pal, rng, or shd. Both rouges ended up selling their CoF and when i asked them why they said they were sick of getting their asses beat.
RE: MOHO

And furthermore...ANY epic equipped rogue should NOT be rolling for CoF anyway since the haste DOES NOT stack with ragebringer. I dont know if the rogues who won CoF that night have their epic, but I can assure you I would be adamant against an epic rogue rolling for CoF... and please note my sig...I am a rogue with epic...i would not roll for CoF if I was on a Naggy raid and it dropped.
