Quests for Wall of Slaughter

Collect Feran Skulls (Normal): Jarekiv may be found at -1265, +195.

You say, 'Hail, Jarekiv'

Jarekiv says 'Greetings ______. I have heard your name spoken in hushed whispers by the few dragorn that still resist Mata Muram's rule. I am Jarekiv, former scout of the Dranik's armies.' The dragorn bows slightly. 'Since my kin was defeated, I have passed the years helping Muramite deserters escape into the wilderness. It's not an easy task, but it keeps me on the move and out of reach of my enemies. Normally I travel with stealth through the bottom of the gorge in the Noble's Causeway, but lately the [wildlife] has grown too fierce to proceed.'

You say, 'What wildlife?'

Jarekiv says 'Yes... the ferans in particular. I don't know if it's the influence of Discord, or the fact that the riftseekers use them as pets, but lately their packs have grown too numerous and fierce. If you can thin their numbers, I may be able to resume ferrying Muramite deserters back to their homes. Bring me the skulls of any ferans you are able to slay. I can use them to convince potential deserters that the way is safe once again.'

A Feran Skull is a rare drop from ferans in Nobles' Causeway and the Wall of Slaughter. Hand one in:

Jarekiv says 'Well done, ______. I have several Muramite deserters that I'm ready to ferry southward. Thanks for clearing the way!'

Your faction standing with Dranik Loyalists has been adjusted by 5.
Your faction standing with Overlord Mata Muram has been adjusted by -1.

You do not receive experience.
Korshawn's Silk Armor (Tier 1) (Normal): Korshawn may be found in the far west part of the zone. Enchanters receive Charmweaver's armor, Magicians receive Runemaster's armor, Necromancers receive Deathcaller's armor, and Wizards receive Spelldeviser's armor.

Your Location is -1036.90, 841.32, 79.18.

You say, 'Hail, Korshawn'

The old dragorn studies you for a moment before he begins speaking in a low gravely voice, 'So, ______, is it true what my kin whisper? That you have come to fight the Muramites? Hmm, you're ten years too late. Half of Kuua's warriors who would have fought by your side are now nothing more then [bones]. The other half have already sworn allegiance to Mata Muram. I'm not so sure which half is better off.'

You say, 'What bones?'

Korshawn says 'Many dragorn have fallen to the armies of the Muramites. As a chaplain of Dranik's forces, it was my responsibility to guide the passing of the dying warriors and bury their bodies so that they will be honored even in death. I buried each member of my unit, one by one, until only I remained. Consumed with despair, I abandoned the war effort to seek a life of solitude and anonymity.' The dragorn gazes off into the distance before continuing, 'Your arrival has been the first hope many of us have had in a long time. I wish I could join you as you make your stand against the Muramites, but I've long ago hung up my battle [heirlooms], swearing never to fight again.'

You say, 'What heirlooms?'

Korshawn says 'I still have my battle dressings. They are part of an ancient set handed down from Dranik's chaplains before me. Perhaps you'd be interested in cloth armor for your [hands], [wrists], [arms], [head], [chest], [legs], or [feet]? The pieces are light and supple and served me well in the field. I can give you one piece for each service you perform in the interest of the children of Dranik.'

Hands

You say, 'What hands?'

Korshawn says 'Harbinger's Spire was once a dragorn lookout tower which the Muramites have since bent to their own purposes. I studied there as a young chaplain, and I shudder to look upon what has those discordlings have done to it in these past years. Mata Muram uses the spire as a beacon to receive the tidings of his domain. Some of his captains possess crystal shards which can be used to control the beacon rising from Harbinger's Spire. If you are able to steal one of these crystals, it would mean a break in the Muramite chain of communication. Return with one of these spire control shards as well as two discordling finger bones. If enough shards are taken from the Muramites, they will be forced to abandon the tower.'

On handing in a Spire Control Shard and 2 x Discordling Finger Bone:

Korshawn bows before you. 'Thank you, ______. You have helped prevent the Muramites from using my former home as part of their information network. You've also brought me the fingers of two discordlings, the very beasts that are responsible for the tower's construction. As promised, I offer my cloth gloves as your reward.'
You gain experience!!

Wrists

You say, 'What wrists?'

Korshawn says 'We were created by a single great dragon, the great father known as Dranik. The first dragorn created many things in his honor. Among these creations was a fearsome battle standard painted with a drop of blood from each of Dranik's firstborn sons. This banner was carried by my kin through many battles and it has seen us through much strife. The last dragorn armies to carry the banner fell to the Muramites over a decade ago. No one can say where the Blood Standard of Dranik's Sons has gone, but the recovery of such an artifact will leave me in your debt. Return with this banner along with two hooked chimera claws to use as nails. I will ensure that the standard hangs over the mass graves of those who died fighting the Muramites. It's the least I can do to honor their deaths.'

On handing in the Dranik Blood Standard and 2 x Hooked Chimera Claw:

Korshawn says 'You've recovered the banner! And to think I thought it lost for good! I'll be sure this flies over the graves of my fallen kin. May its glory rekindle the spirits of the dragorn still under the Muramite whip! As promised, my cloth wrist band shall be your reward!'
You gain experience!!

Arms

You say, 'What arms?'

Korshawn says 'I respect your willingness to help, but this will not be an easy task. As you may know, the armies of Mata Muram are but one aspect of Discord's deep shadow. The Darkening ravaged not only the denizens of Kuua, but also the landscape as well. Many of our old landmarks no longer stand, and the sky -- once blue and vast -- now seethes with ash and storms. If you can find a map of Old Kuua, one drawn before the coming of Discord, it may help me to infer the location of the ancient barrows of my kin. I need to find them before the Muramites manage to pillage the graves of my ancestors. Return with one of the old maps as well as two jagged noc tusks so I can hollow them out and create a safe place to keep the map. Do this for me and I can reward your efforts with my cloth arm wraps.'

On handing in the Map of Old Kuua and 2 x Jagged Noc Tusk:

Korshawn says 'You've recovered a map of Old Kuua! With this I may yet find the burial grounds of my ancestors. Hopefully before the Muramites get there to pillage what remains of my kins' riches! Thank you, ______. As promised, here are my former arm wraps. I have no more need of them, but I'm sure they will serve you well.'

Head

You say, 'What head?'

Korshawn says 'When Discord first impinged upon our world, sentiments of treachery and paranoia crept into our lives. Dragorn turned on dragorn and soon longstanding friendships ended in bitter squabbling. One dragorn, Noble Yemall the Arcane, kept his wits long enough to realize what was happening. Before the Muramites came, Yemall toiled tirelessly to counter the effects of Discord. Although his efforts were ultimately in vain, it is said that he was able to author a treatise before the Muramites seized him. This treatise, entitled The Duskfall Chronicles, contains his reflections on the nature of Discord. No one knows what has happened to this text, but if you are able to recover it, I may be able to understand why so many dragorn met their end. Bring me this treatise along with two rugged murkglider skins to make a book cover. I will reward you with my former battle hood.'

On handing in the Duskfall Chronicles and 2 x Rugged Murkglider Skin:

Korshawn says 'You've recovered The Duskfall Chronicles! Perhaps with time the dragorn will learn to resist the poison of Discord to once again stand against a common enemy. May so many of my kin never die in vain again. Thank you, ______. As promised, here is my cloth battle hood as your reward.'
You gain experience!!

Chest

You say, 'What chest?'

Korshawn says 'Before the Muramites came, the High Council of Eight ruled over Dranik. The eight nobles, lead by Jelvan the Eldest, each carried scepters that were said to be carved from the bones of the first dragorn sons and etched in ancient runes. It is said that these scepters will glow as long as their owner is alive. I have not seen the council since the Muramites overran our city, but I have heard that their scepters were handed out by Mata Muram as war trophies. If you can recover one of these scepters along with three Kuuan oil candles so I can study the runes, I will reward you with my former battle tunic!'

On handing in the scepter and 3 x Kuuan Candles:

Korshawn says 'Yes, this is it the scepter of Yumall! I recognize the markings! Alas, the glow has left the scepter which means Yumall no longer draws breath. At least now I know to prepare a burial ritual in his honor. As promised, here is my former battle tunic. In the days when I still fought for Dranik, this tunic turned many blades that otherwise would have found my heart.'
You gain experience!!

Legs

You say, 'What legs?'

Korshawn says 'As you may know, Kuua was not the first world touched by Discord. There have been many others, for I have heard the Muramites tell stories of past conquests. One of the stories they tell is that the last ember of a Discord-ravaged city will burn for many years long after the ruins of the city itself have been buried by time. Some say it's the city's spirit slowly dying. Others claim it to be a side effect of the Discord's lingering magic. Regardless, these embers are highly valued by the legions of Discord, for Mata Muram rewards them to his fiercest captains as war trophies. If you can bring me one of these embers along with three Dragorn Muramite insignia necklaces, I can reward you with my former battle leggings. I have no need of them any longer, and I can use that ember to light the pyres of my kin who have fallen to the Muramites. It would be an honorable tribute to both my kin and the unknown city that have both fallen to Discord.'

On handing in a Dragorn City Ember and 3 x Dragorn Muramite Insignia Necklace:

(Dialogues?)

Feet

You say, 'What feet?'

Korshawn says 'When Discord first descended upon Kuua, many of my own kin turned traitor. There is talk of a traitors' stone, etched with the names of all dragorn who conspired with the enemy in those dire days. The Muramite captains carried these stones and used them to determine which dragorn to slay outright and which to spare with a life of slavery. If you can bring me one of these Kuuan traitor stones, along with two ikaav braids so I can hang the stones for all to see, it may enrage the remaining dragorn who are unhappy with Mata Muram's rule. In time they may gather the spirit of will to once again rise up against the Muramites. Your reward shall be the cloth slippers I wore back when I, too, fought against the enemies of Dranik.'

On handing in Kuuan Traitor Stones and 2 x Ikaav Braid:

Korshawn says 'Excellent work, _____. I shudder to think what names could be etched on this stone, but I thank you for your efforts nonetheless. As promised, here are my slippers as your reward. May they keep you fleet of foot and out of harm's way.'

Makyah's Statue (Normal): Sandak may be found in the Wall of Slaughter (/loc?).

You say, 'Hail, Sandak'

Sandak says 'Greetings stranger, I have heard of your efforts on behalf of my people. It has been long since anyone, dragorn included, has stood against the Muramites. I once was a great warrior myself. I fought in the battles with the Legions of Mata Muram as the flooded into Kuua. I lost many [friends] in those battles, and have since seen [mementos] of my childhood destroyed and left in ruins.'

You say, 'What mementos?'

Sandak says 'In my younger days I sought out stories of the great dragorn heroes like they were precious gems. Oh, the stories I could tell you about Jayruk the Hunter and his triumphs over the bazu and about Makyah the Fierce and his glorious defiance of Mata Muram and his legion. It was Makyah that served as my inspiration in the trying times that accompanied the Muramite invasion. I made a [statue] and had it in a cave where I was sent to live to serve as a reminder to all of his ideals and sacrifice.'

You say, 'What statue?'

Sandak says 'It was a great carved stone statue of Makyah in his full battle armor. In all modesty, I have to say it was a sight to behold, terrifying and inspiring all at once. The Muramites apparently did not appreciate a monument to someone such as that in the city and the destroyed it right in front of me. They dragged the pieces off to some unknown ditch, I'm sure. If only I could gather the pieces again and reassemble the statue I could find some peace in the memories of that great hero.'

Turn in the four Statue pieces, found in the Catacombs of Dranik:
Dragorn Head Statue Piece
Dragorn Torso Statue Piece
Dragorn Leg Statue Piece
Dragorn Feet Statue Piece

Sandak says, 'Can it be? You've found it! I shall have this pieced together where no Muramite can find it again. It will be an inspiration for the coming generations and a beacon of hope in these times of darkness. Here take this mask. May it help you always to see the light and protect you from the trials of darkness.'

Melees receive Glowing Enameled Visor, and casters receive Veil of Woven Light. Reward: Veil of Woven Light
Reward: Glowing Enameled Visor

Retrieve the Insignia Crests (Normal): Verow will only talk to you if your faction is "warmly" or higher; however, you can do the turn-in at any faction level (max KOS included).

You say, 'Hail, Verow'

Verow says 'Greetings. I am Verow, the last of Clan Aru'Shar. My clan name was once spoken as a title of dignity and honor in Dranik. Have you heard of my kin? No, of course you haven't. Clan Aru'Shar is no more. The [bloodline] dies with me.'

You say, 'What bloodline?'

Verow says 'The Aru'Shar clan lived for hundreds of generations. . . until Mata Muram gathered the nobles and sent them on a death march across Kuua. I was but a hatchling then and escaped only because my ankles were small enough to squeeze out of my manacles. The rest of my [kin] were not so lucky.'

You say, 'What kin?'

Verow says 'Several other nobles gave me chance to slip away by pretending to collapse from weariness.' Verow bows his head slightly. 'I never had a chance to thank them for their help. It shames me to know that their [crests] are still in the possession of the Muramites.'

You say, 'What crests?'

Verow says 'The members of each noble house wore an insignia crest on the clasp of their cloaks. The ikaav stole these crests when the march began, stripping us of our heritage. If you can find these ikaav and return with the crests of my kin, it would honor the memory of my lost clan. I cannot offer much, but the few dragorn that still remember the noble clans will be in your debt.'

A "Stolen Dragorn Clan Insignia" drops from random mobs in Nobles' Causeway. Give one to Verow.

Verow says 'I recognize this crest! Thank you, ______. The dragorn noble clans may be lost and scattered, but with your help they may at least be remembered. Please return to me if you find any more.'

Trelak's Plate Armor (Tier 2) (Normal): Trelak may be found at -280, -1570 in the Wall of Slaughter. Bards receive Farseeker's Plate armor of Harmony, Clerics receive Faithbringer's armor of Conviction, Paladins receive Dawnseeker's Armor of the Defender, Shadowknights receive Duskbringer's Plate armor of the Hateful, and Warriors receive Gladiator's Plate armor of War.

You say, 'Hail, Trelak'

Trelak says 'Greetings stranger. What can I, Trelak do for you? Surely you are the strangers that I have heard whispers about . . . the ones that have struck back against our enemies? Perhaps we can aid each other? I am an armor smith that has crafted many fine pieces for the more prestigious officers in the dragorn militia. Many of these pieces have unique magical qualities that I crafted into them. If you are [willing] to recover them, I can recapture most of this magic and create new pieces for you.'

You say, 'I am willing.'

Trelak says 'Good, very good. When The Darkening came upon us, I could see by the ferocity and viciousness of the invaders that they would not be easy to defeat. So I took as much as I could and hid out here preparing for the time when our warriors would have need of me. If you help me, I will craft superior pieces of plate armor fit for our mightiest fighters for you. I can provide a [helm], [sleeves], [bracers], a pair of [gloves], a [breastplate], some [leggings], and a pair of [boots].'

Helm

You say, 'What helm?'

Trelak says 'Before I can make you a plate helm worthy of Makyah himself, I will need you to bring me some food. I was so busy with taking all of my tools that I did not have time to stock myself with enough sustenance to see me through this ordeal. From time to time I have seen kvy archers eating from a small food sack. I think if you bring me two of these sacks I can continue my work for quite awhile. Your main task though will be to bring me a certain piece of metal I have long had my eye on. There was a certain dragorn elder by the named of Patorav, a wiser and kinder noble did not exist. Wherever he went, he always carried with him a fine [walking stick].'

You say, 'What walking stick?'

Trelak says 'This was no ordinary walking stick. The top held a jewel of some mystery for I would always see Patorav whispering to it, but I am more interested in the bottom tip, for it you see was sheathed in a strange metal. I witnessed Patorav striking the ground with the tip only to see it penetrate any surface it encountered. The hardest stone, the most durable metal, nothing could withstand his walking stick. Thus, I have always held an interest in it as the enchantments contained therein may prove to be beneficial to my craft. Though Patorav fell during the noble's march through the causeway, his stick may yet exist. Find it and bring it back with the food and I'll reward you.'

Patorav's Walking Stick is a random drop from Jelvan`s Keepsake, Keldovan the Harrier, Ture, and Warden Hanvar in the Citadel of Anguish. Kyv Food Sacks drop from an elite kyv hunter in Muramite Proving Grounds.

Trelak reaches out hungrily for the food sacks and the walking stick. 'Yes, this is Patorav's. I would recognize it anywhere. You can see just by looking at the metal that it hides some source of power. Why its appearance alone... how the metal looks as if it is reflecting moving storm clouds... fascinating. I most graciously thank you for this and the sacks of food. I had nearly finished this plate helm for a customer of mine, but I have heard he met a valiant end at the wall. Wear it honorably as he would have.'

Sleeves

You say, 'What sleeves?'

Trelak says 'Though I managed to bring nearly all of my tools before the Muramites overran our lands, I did forget to bring the enchanted tongs my mentor gave me. I secretly returned only to watch the Muramites destroy my shop and steal what was left. I saw the leader of this pack of dark thieves place my tongs in an embossed leather sack . . . Which was probably stolen as well. I want you to bring me this sack so I may retrieve my tongs and perhaps other possessions he stole from me. I also want you to repay those brutes for wrecking my shop and home. Bring me back two noc right hands so I know they will no longer steal from me or my people ever again.'

Lenarsk's Embossed Leather Pouch is a random drop from Jelvan`s Keepsake, Keldovan the Harrier, Ture, and Warden Hanvar in the Citadel of Anguish. Noc Right Hands drop from an elite noc cleaver in Muramite Proving Grounds.

Bracers

You say, 'What bracers?'

Trelak says 'As a smith I am always looking for new materials and techniques to improve my craft. Many times we come across objects that are highly magical in nature and often we are able to capture this mystical essence and reuse it for our own purposes. The riftseekers have something I very much want. It was these very same beings that betrayed my people to the Muramites, but that is not important now. I know that the riftseeker's heart is not akin to a heart that beats within you or me. It is magical. Find and bring me one of those hearts. Your must also bring me two large pieces of Kuuan Ore as my stock is running a bit low. Return with these and I will make you a bracer much like the ones dragorn warriors wear into battle.'

The Riftseeker Heart is a random drop from Jelvan`s Keepsake, Keldovan the Harrier, Ture, and Warden Hanvar in the Citadel of Anguish. Large Pieces of Kuuan Ore are a random drop from trash in the Ruined City of Dranik (and elsewhere?).

Trelak widens his eyes as you hand him the riftseeker heart. As you hand it to him, his eyes fix on the small pulsing light within the center of the gem. 'Yes, I am sure I can make good use of this. You have done well. And these pieces of ore will help replenish my supply. For your hard work, here is the plate bracer I spoke of earlier.'
You gain experience!!

Gloves

You say, 'What gloves?'

Trelak says 'One of my people's most famous warriors was Makyah the Fierce, who had no equal when it came to the battle arts. Enemies would routinely pause momentarily when he strode upon the field. After the portal exploded though, no trace of Makyah was found. I am more interested in his axe though, which may yet hold salvation for my people. It is my hope that the enchantments and techniques used to create the axe might be used for other purposes. Find and return Makyah's axe to me so I may use it to help my people. To remove the enchantments properly though, I will also need two yearning crystals. With the proper ceremony, gems such as these can be used to transfer charms from one object to another. Come back when you have recovered these and I will give you a pair of gloves that I was crafting in honor of a dragorn elder.'

Makyah's Axe is a random drop from Jelvan`s Keepsake, Keldovan the Harrier, Ture, and Warden Hanvar in the Citadel of Anguish. Crystals of Yearning drop from nocs in Muramite Proving Grounds.

Trelak holds the axe up and begins to take a few mighty swings through the air in front of him. 'Yes, the axe of the fierce one himself. It will be a shame to remove some of these enchantments, but I am sure I can put them to better use for my people. I will use the two crystals you have just given me to safely remove some of the charms within the axe and put them in some of my newer designs. Here are the plate gloves I spoke of earlier.'

You gain experience!!

Breastplate

You say, 'What breastplate?'

Trelak says 'Many good friends and loved ones perished in the invasion. One of my good friends was a famous hunter, Jayruk. He and I went on many hunting expeditions together protecting our lands from some of the more wild and dangerous beasts. I was not skilled enough to take care of a bazu mind you, but at least I could remove the threat of a few murkgliders. Jayruk, however, had no equal. I could regale you for hours of tales of how he narrowly escaped death, but I shan't waste time. Simply know that I wish to pay my respects to my good friend and for this I require the hunting vest he so loved. I will also need three dragorn ceremonial candles too. Return to me with the vest and the three candles and I will give you a plate breastplate that I was crafting for myself.'

Jayruk's Vest drops from Arch Magus Vangl and Overlord Mata Muram in the Citadel of Anguish. Ceremonial Dragorn Candles drops from dragorns in Muramite Proving Grounds. Upon hand-in:

Trelak says 'Ah, yes, this is the vest I saw Jayruk wear so often when times were brighter. No one knows what happened to him, but this vest confirms my greatest fear -- that he met with an untimely end. I thank you for returning this to me so I may pay my respects to my greatest friend. Here is the breastplate I spoke of
earlier. I was crafting this for myself, but in times such as these, it is better that it serve a true fighter such as yourself than a mere smith pretending to be one.'

You gain experience!!

Leggings

You say, 'What leggings?'

Trelak says 'When I tried to go back to my shop to retrieve my tongs, I found it overrun with a mob of thieving Muramites. At that moment I, a mere smith, vowed revenge for destroying what it took me a lifetime to build. I did not know how or when I would accomplish this until I crossed paths with you. You will be my instrument, exacting the revenge I cannot achieve on my own. Find the leader of this particular group of Muramites and repay it ten fold. Return to me with the medal it smugly wore -- a medal it no doubt stole from some other hapless dragorn. You also must bring me three blackened discordling tails as proof that the rest of this group has been slain as well. Do this and I will give you a pair of plate leggings that I have been working on for some time now.'

Patorav's Amulet drops in the Citadel of Anguish from Overlord Mata Muram and Arch Magus Vangl. Blackened Discordling Tails drop from discordlings in Muramite Proving Grounds. Upon hand-in:

Trelak smiles and nods approvingly as you had him the medal and tails. 'Yes this is the amulet that fiendish Muramite wore. And you managed to slay the discordlings as well? Good. Now at least I may rest easier knowing that the fiends will trouble my people no more. Here are the leggings I spoke of earlier. I crafted them using a new technique I developed after my mentor's passing. Now I feel they are ready to be tested on the field of battle. I am certain they will give you much service.'

You gain experience!!

Boots

You say, 'What boots?'

Trelak says 'As much of my customers were dragorn warriors, over time I came to befriend many of them. Though most of them perished during the fighting, some were captured by the Muramites and tormented in their Proving Grounds. This was once a serene place where our elders would meditate . . . A place of peace and tranquility that my people looked toward Dranik's spirit for guidance. Now it is a place inhabited by the foulest horrors where resistant dragorns are tortured. One such dragorn was a noble warrior named Ethask. Thrown into the labyrinth unarmed, he fought off a horde of discordlings and kyvs, breaking their bodies with his bare hands. Seriously wounded, he still managed to find an exit through sheer force of will. Just as he was about to exit that black pit, a soaring [Muramite] cowardly struck him down from behind. Mortally wounded with the axe still lodged between his shoulders, Ethask crawled through the exit only to perish on the other side.'

You say, 'What Muramite?'

Trelak says 'I know little of this particular Muramite save that he received a medal for his dastardly deeds. Find and slay this Muramite so the spirit of Ethask may find the peace it longs for. Return once you have done this with the Muramite Cruelty Medal as proof that this monster shall trouble my people no more. Also bring me two kyv hunter rings to celebrate Ethask's victories.'

The Muramite Cruelty Medal is a random drop from Jelvan`s Keepsake, Keldovan the Harrier, Ture, and Warden Hanvar in the Citadel of Anguish. Kyv Hunter Rings drop from "an elite kyv hunter" in Muramite Proving Grounds.

Zakariv's Shattered Sword (Normal): Sandak may be found in the Wall of Slaughter (/loc -695, -1295).

You say, 'What friends?'

Sandak says 'While I lost many comrades-in-arms, there was one in particular that I regret losing most. His name was Zakariv. We were very close from the first days of our training through the time of The Darkening. It was then, when the dragorn people began turning upon each other that Zakariv and I began to argue. The arguments were small differences in opinion at first, fights over which direction the feran we were tracking went or where to camp the night. All too quickly these arguments degenerated into brawls between the two of us. It wasn't long before we had our [final disagreement].'

You say, 'What final disagreement?'

Sandak says 'With the coming of the Legion of Mata Muram, Zakariv fell in with a group of dragorn who saw the legion as a chance to achieve greater glory and power. He urged me to join them and drew his sword when I refused his offer. Rather than fight my friend I turned my back and walked away. That was the last I saw of him until that fateful day at the [portal].'

You say, 'What portal?'

Sandak says 'I believe it was a portal into your world, stranger. We had made an agreement with the riftseekers to close that portal in an attempt to defy and weaken the Muramites. I had joined with Rurof the Negotiator and his army. We marched to the portal and took the Muramites by surprise. I fought for several hours before becoming grievously wounded by a kyv arrow. As I stumbled out of the battle to tend my wound, I glimpsed Zakariv for just a moment in a thick cluster of fighting seeming to just be struggling to stay alive. I was only able to see him for a moment before the bloody mobs swept him from my view. Shortly after I had left the site of the battle there was a horrendous [explosion].'

You say, 'What explosion?'

Sandak says 'The explosion came from the portal and was caused by the traitorous riftseekers. It ripped through the battlefield without discrimination, destroying much of Rurof's forces along with a great many Muramites. Still, the price was too high. I have not had the strength to fight the legion since then, though I mourn the loss of my friend and deeply regret that I was unable to make amends before his death. Perhaps if I were able to retrieve his [sword] I could do proper honor to his memory.'

You say, 'What sword?'

Sandak says 'Zakariv's sword was a work of art, not only beautiful to see, but deadly in battle. I've heard of shattered relics from that battle turning up where scavengers have left them. If you could search for Zakariv's sword or at least the pieces of it and return them to me I'm sure I could find some way to reward you.'

All four pieces are rare drops from various murkgliders in Nobles' Causeway.

Sandak says 'This... this is amazing. I never thought to have anything to remember Zakariv by. Thank you for returning these pieces to me. I will have them reforged and once again this weapon will be amazing to behold! Here, take this cloak as a reward. It was one that I wore in my days as a warrior. Perhaps some of the enchantments on it will still prove useful.'
