Soloing Mage

Anyone who ever played a mage knows that its hard to find a group, so therefor, do you guys think a lvl 62 mage pet can tank well enough in NC?

I know that 2 mages can duo BOT, but thats with the ping pong effect of switching aggro on pets,
i would love to try solo Nc but im kind of chicken to try it out without info first, its such a long way to walk just to get there and die lol.............thanks

Well, for starters, if you are using the 62 pet you are gonna die. The air pet is a tank, water is a rogue.

Ridge Runner Drunt Camp
# Aug 25 2005 at 8:29 AM Rating: Decent
I know SoE does not recognize camping, and that said, it is a bull crap philosophy.

On the other side of that coin, its crap when you have one toon or two perma camping a spot.

On Cazic Thule Server there is a toon Named Oneton that is permantly parked in RR Drunt camp. Yes, I am talking 24/7/365!

They just pull the named, or its PH and do not touch the rest of the mobs. However if you wish to go in and xp on the general mobs that pop in that area, the necro will gladly train you again and again until you leave.

SoE's petitions on this is there are no camps and you must bring proof that its happening.

That said, why is SoE allowing them to stay in game, ban the accounts, if they have that many petitions against them. SoE expects us to be their police force? Must we go there lose xp again and again, so we can petition them? Just to get SoE to do something?

Are they gonna reimburse us with the xp? Sure, maybe, if we can afford to keep leaving something on our corpses?

Well this is my rant.
It blows that you have one boxed toon blowing the best lower level rune camp in the game.

Nerask ,the named mob just inside NC, is for the Armour Quest. He will not attack. When you get Warmly faction with him you can get some nice gear.It just takes alot of killing Noc's ,Ikaav's,Kyv's and Ukun's to get your Faction up. And the Murkglider Pups see invis..

The dragorn-like mobs at the DS and WoS ends of NC are quest mobs. And actually the best place for a necro to kite in NC is the WoS end of NC in the ravine off to your right just before you enter the hallway that leads to WoS. But becareful and be invised. There is a murkglider there with "pups" (like litte murkgliders). This one is a roamer and is not always there, so just invis up and check first for the "pups". Dont solo it, make sure you have support for that one. Cause its like pullin 7 mobs at once then bang your dead. Or u can try the snare/fd pull technique if you have big brass ones on the murk with pups. have fun.

The Mob is called Fecund Murkglider. If you pull it will spawn pups and bring a soloer more problems than you need. Avoid.

As already mentioned the trench near WoS tunnel and the DS side are pretty easy. The WoS side you have to be careful about a fecund murk and her pups and bazu. The room in the tunnel to WoS can be pulled with some care as well as most spots along the path between DS and WoS. RR/agressive can be a good camp if you know what you are doing but at 66 it might be a little difficult. At the RR camp there's a lvl 70+ named that has no loot for, i think, the bard epic but it's easy to kite and no faction hits. Undead murks(higher level than DS side or WoS side) over past the slavedriver are good as well and you can invis all the way over to it. There is another murk camp off the WoS side trench if you go to the left and follow the trench, I think it gets over in the area of alpha feran but I'm not sure....can't remember the exact loc offhand.

Also there is the trench down by WOS that can be soloed much the same as the ds murks. A bonous to WoS there is also faction mobs and a bazu that has a nasty stun but is kiteable. I have not as yet soloed him with my 62nd necro even though he is a yellow con. I have gotten him to 50% before his resisting snare kills me but I have seen others solo him ez. also when those 2 camps are taken i camp the first murk on the path from Ds to wos kitein the mob down the path towards ds and back. there 2 mobs that are very simple to pull and more if you fd split them or kite multi.

Right when you zone in from DS, drop down into the revine on the left. Pull the Murks and kite them. Have seen both druids and necro solo this spot.
Mobs see invis

Just want to report that I got nailed coming thru the zone, just before entering WoS when my text said "a murkglider pup reveals rows of sharp teeth beneath its tentacles" then "the veil fades" and then I was dead cause I tried to gate.

I have run through the zone several times already with invis and no problems, guess I was lucky...more caution next time (unless I have SOW)

Watch out for Stone Thrower. He sees invis and is a beast!

This zone seems to be train central. People runnning to WoS train the whole zone in their wake and never look back.

But, another thing is the mobs here seem to be pretty darn social and starting up a train while hunting in this zone is easy to do. Murkglider roamers become adds quickly.

Named near entrance
# Sep 16 2004 at 5:01 PM Rating: Decent
Went in here and there is a Red to 65 Named mob near the entrance. He is is "threatening" and I was wondering if anyone has tested if he is an agro mob, or if he is some quest mob? For now I am just going down into the little rivine to the left and avoiding him. If there is a brave monk or bard or really anyone that would like to test this little bugger it'd be great. As a mage I wouldn't stand one hit.
RE: Named near entrance

I noticed yesterday he is our best friend!

He appears to be a train killer!

I saw a train run pass and was waiting for the inevitable dangerous wander back, but they never came back. They never went passed him.

Now I did not see him fight them, but that is two trains now I have seen disappear near him... what does he do to them exactly?

He was ready to attack, but cannot be aggro'd, despite all my attempts to do so. Maybe he's a quest.

I believe this guy is one of the KoS-cons you cannot attack, cast, etc.; fortunately he doesn't do anything to you other than tell you that he and his kind do not trust you at the moment. There is another named dragorn very simliar to the one you're talking about at the zone to Walls and that's how he works.
