This is the second of a tradeskill oriented quest line (6 quests total) introduced with the Ring of Scale expansion. You must have completed Here or Over There? to get this task.
Crestra is an alaran located in The Overthere at +2392, +1778 on the docks. At the end of the previous quest: Crestra says, 'While this is great work, I think there is more we can do. I hope you don't find anything useful in the next region because I barely want to think about it. Are you willing to continue to assist me and scout in [Skyfire]?' You say, 'Skyfire' You have been assigned the task 'Details of the Sky'. Crestra'Since I am new here, I know little of Skyfire. Please go scout it for me. I'm interested in the locations that lead away from the area, caves, and dragon iconography. And be careful.' Fear clouds alir gaze. 'Stay away from actual dragons. Horrible creatures. When you are done, come back to me and tell me what you saw in your [scouting:I have completed my scouting], creatures as well.' Find locations that Crestra might find interesting. 0/13 Skyfire Mountains Head to Skyfire Mountains and start scouting : 1. Explore Overthere 0/1 Skyfire Mountains Around -820, -2500 in the SE part of the zone. Wizard/druid evac gets you there. 2. Explore Gorowyn 0/1 Skyfire Mountains Around +3100, -1900 in the NE corner of the zone. 3. Explore Scorched Woods 0/1 Skyfire Mountains Around -2740, +2000 in the SW corner of the zone. 4. Explore South East Dragon Orb 0/1 Skyfire Mountains Around -2200, +3500 in the SE corner of the zone. 5. Explore North East Dragon Orb 0/1 Skyfire Mountains Around +2500, -1400 in the NE part of the zone. 6. Explore South West Dragon Orb 0/1 Skyfire Mountains This is the orb at the port in, inside the outpost in the SW part of the zone.. 7. Explore Eastern Dragon Skull of Western Cluster 0/1 Skyfire Mountains Around +1500, +2600 in the NW part of the zone. 8. Explore Northern Dragon Skull of Western Cluster 0/1 Skyfire Mountains Around +2315, +3756 in the NW part of the zone. 9. Explore Western Dragon Skull of Western Cluster 0/1 Skyfire Mountains Around +1550, +4384 on the west-center border. 10. Explore Southern Dragon Skull 0/1 Skyfire Mountains Around -2115, +645 in the south center part of the zone. 11. Explore Dragon Graveyard 0/1 Skyfire Mountains Around -1200, +1500 in the SW part of the zone, east of the port in. 12. Explore Cave Entrance 0/1 Skyfire Mountains Around -262, +4065 on the SW border, north of the port in. 13. Explore Veeshan's Peak Entrance 0/1 Skyfire Mountains Around +2500, +2100 in the NW part of the zone. Once you have scouted the 13 locations: Converse with Crestra about what you found [scouting] in Skyfire. 0/1 The Overthere You say, 'scouting' Crestra says, 'Lets start with the worst. What sort of [dragon iconography] did you find?' You say, ' There is not as much dragon iconography as you might think, There are three great statues of dragons holding up orbs, and on a related note a dragon graveyard, and four skulls of dragons.' Crestra says 'I find it comforting that dragons can die. I wonder if they can survive after death like our gods. But that's not important.' Al shivers then continues, 'Scary to think about, but not important. What about caves and [ways out of the area]?' You say, 'There is a cave system on the west side of the area, filled with stone creatures. The ways out of the area lead to, of course, Overthere, as well as Scorched Woods, Gorowyn, Skyfire, and while it may be better phrased as deeper in instead of a way out, Veeshan's Peak.' Crestra says, 'Thanks for your thorough examination. What type of [horrible beasts] did you find?' You say, 'It's not too bad, though the drakes are a bit dangerous, bombing people from the sky. There are gnawers, fire elementals, chromadracs, golems and stone based creatures, mummies, ratmen, sarnak, wurms, and wyverns. Believe it, or not, there are vampires. Of course there are a few other beings, but they are sparse.' Your task 'Details of the Sky' has been updated. Crestra appreciates the assistance and would like you to evaluate the creatures in Skyfire next. Crestra says, 'Thank you for the detailed report. Since you didn't see any living dragons, I feel it's reasonable to send you back in the [evaluate a few] specific creatures in Skyfire.' Reward(s): 212 platinum 5 gold You gain experience!
