You can find Kanghammer at /waypoint -2337,-2954,-249 down in the jail cells under the far southeast building in the far southeast corner of the zone. He is on the find tool CTRL F. You say, 'Hail, Kanghammer' Kanghammer acknowledges your greeting and moves past it immediately. 'The boy knows more than he is saying. It would greatly benefit Maddie and Dirk if we could get him to speak about what happened on that caravan.' He looks around his cell for a moment before his eyes stop on the dirtied plate that is in his cell. 'He has only eaten a small amount of food I give him and refuses to eat anything the guards give him. The boy needs a proper meal. Maddie is the local chef. She may have something that can help warm the boy's belly and maybe he can open up to us.' He looks at Dextris again. 'I would make haste if I were you. The guards have been growing more and more restless with each passing moment and this boy seems to be the only thing some of them care about. That doesn't sit right with me one bit. The boy is more clever than he appears. He knows the guards cannot be trusted, but we need to still gain his trust if he is to speak to us.' Timorous Falls has been a resting place for many an adventurer's head. Though now there is some sort of plot happening that worries Dirk and Maddie that involves Eureka's Tumble and the paladins who has made a home here. The only person who was witness to what happened at the caravan incident is a little boy named Dextris. In his current state, Dextris is too traumatized to speak. Maddie has an idea that will warm his belly up and maybe get some more information out of him. Her stew! Perhaps a warm meal will get much needed intel from the boy so Dirk can act. Seek an audience with Maddie about getting some of her stew to help feed Dextris. 1. Speak with Maddie 0/1 Timorous Falls Maddie is near /way -2546,+1606,-61 at the bar in Eureka's Tumble which is the big building at the very south part of the zone. You say, 'Hail, Maddie' Maddie looks you over before speaking. 'Food that warms the coldest of bellies? Aye that's my specialty!' She grabs a nearby bowl with a towel and spits in the bowl, rubbing it with the towel. You notice that she seems more interested in your reaction in the moment, but you are not giving her the one she wants. 'Oh okay, fine, take my fun away.' She flings the soiled bowl across the bar into a pile with other dirty dishes. 'We got our own stew brewin'. That will surely help the boy feel safe and warm. There is just one problem. Forever stews take on a unique taste of the area where the ingredients are found, so we need more of those in order to keep the stew going. Find me some vine stalks, skeeter stickers and deer meat. Deliver those to my chefs and come speak to me.' Maddie looks you up and down again. 'Yeah.' she says while nodding, 'That is something an adventurer like yourself can handle on your own.' She gives you another sly wink before returning to her patrons. 2. Collect Vine Stalks 0/6 Tomorous Falls Maddie is in a bit of a pickle at the moment as she doesn't have enough ingredients to keep the stores full. The incident has shaken up a bunch of the workers. Locale stingers from mosquitos, venison from the deer in timorous falls, and intact vine whips for the stew. Timorous Falls Vine Stalk is what you're after. They drop from the flowered plant creatures. They are variable how many you will get and sometimes they don't drop. 3. Collect Mosquito Stingers 07 Timorous Falls Intact Timorous Falls Mosquito Stinger drops off mosquito creatures, the drops are also variable. You can find a bunch of these mosquitos in the southwest. 4. Collect Venison 0/5 Timorous Falls Slab of Timorous Falls Venison drops off deer in the west near the edge of the zone and you can find them in the north as well. Same drop rate. 5. Deliver Vine Stalks to a chef in Eureka's Tume 0/6 Timorous Falls Hand Timorous Falls Vine Stalk to an apprentice chef in the basement of Eureka's Tumble. You can find this chef at /way -2499,-1428,-124. 6. Deliver Mosquito Stingers to a chef in Eureka's Tumble 0/7 Timorous Falls Hand Intact Timorous Falls Mosquito Stinger to a junior chef in the building to the west of Eureka's Tumble. You can find this chef a few floors up from the freshman chef /way -2572,-1286,-88. 7. Deliver Timorous Falls Venison to a chef in Eureka's Tumble 0/5 Timorous Falls Hand Slab of Timorous Falls Venison to a freshman chef in the building to the west of Eureka's Tumble. You can find this chef on the bottom floor at /way -2560,-1245,-124. 8. Return to Maddie 0/1 Timorous Falls You say, 'Hail, Maddie' You have been given: Maddie's Mad Stew Your task 'We Have Ways of Making You Talk' has been updated. Maddie gives a knowing upward nod to you, which you take as a sign that Maddie thinks of you as a friend instead of just another patron. 'The chefs brought me a bowl of my stew for the little one. Thank you for bringing those ingredients. I'm sure the chefs appreciated the help.' She looks at you like she's been caught in a lie. 'Oh! Don't worry, they are given a place to sleep and free meals here. All I ask for in return is not to be afraid of getting a little dirty from time to time. Sometimes that dirt comes in the form of mosquito stings. We all grow in different ways.' She returns to the matter at hand. 'Right. Take this bowl to the boy. This will warm him up and ease his soul. Warm stew never did me any harm.' 9. Deliver Maddie's Mad Stew to Dextris 0/1 Timorous Falls Dextris is found in the far southwest corner of the zone in the basement of the southeast building in that complex, at /way -2316,-2951,-251. You offered 1 Maddie's Mad Stew to Dextris. Your task 'We Have Ways of Making You Talk' has been updated. Dextris takes the bowl and starts slurping a few bites of it. His sullen look warms up a bit as he hugs the bowl harder and starts devouring the meal. Loud slurps and chews can be heard as he continues. He seems to be getting some of his energy back. He finishes the meal and wipes his mouth with the back of his hand and sets the bowl down next to him, never once looking up at you. A few moments pass as the boy whispers something inaudible. You get closer to hear and he says the word 'Tenisbre.' He then buries his face into his arms and starts to cry again. Kanghammer tightens his grip so hard that his calloused hands creak like he's wearing leather gloves. 10. Speak with Kanghammer 0/1 Timorous Falls Kanghammer is in the jail cell right near Dextris. You say, 'Hail, Kanghammer' Kanghammer looks relieved, but still maintains his composure. 'The boy does speak, I've never wanted to hear a person's voice so much before in my life. This is excellent and it's verifying what I have been [suspecting].' You say, 'What where you suspecting?' Kanghammer quiets his voice and leans in closer. 'I still suspect that Illandrin Tenisbre is the ringleader. He wants this boy for some reason. I don't think it's this boy in particular that they wanted in the first place, but now things have changed. If the guards find out that the boy can speak, that might accelerate their plans for him. The first thing we need to do is warn Dirk immediately. Tell him what the boy said, and he may be able to help or help us strategize how we want to approach this usurper for further explanation. As for me? I've taken stronger beatings from wet nurses than I have from these guards. I can continue being the attention of their ire for now. I can keep up with this ruse so long. Please hurry, however. I fear the worst is yet to come for this lad.' 11. Tell Dirk what name Dextris said 0/1 Timorous Falls You say, 'Tenisbre' One step closer to resolving the conflict in Timorous falls as you finally are able to confirm the name of the person who is involved with the incident. "Tenisbre". Dirk Kollimar's expression sours and the color fades from his face. 'So, we may have a usurper in our midst. Kanghammer is a valuable ally, and he has spent this entire time caring only for the boy. Even from the cell he's in, he looks out for the boy's wellbeing over his own. He is one tough fighter, but we need to find a way out for him. In the meantime, I have some work I need to do in order to end this. Unfortunately, I don't want to tip our hand to the guards quite yet about what is happening. Take some time and enjoy some of Maddie's stew before returning to me. I need to prepare.'
