Torgarath Rulour Thox is an allied akhevan located on top of a hill in the southwest part. You say, 'Hail, Torgarath Rulour Thox' Torgarath Rulour Thox says, 'You've done some great work for the refugee camp to the east. Perhaps you will be able to help me get to a further [understanding] of what is going on within the outpost.' You say, 'understanding' Torgarath Rulour Thox says, 'It is no surprise that the akheva in this valley have been experimenting again with vampyre blood. While Luclin already works in the shadows and sees everything that happens in the darkness, the akheva have taken it upon themselves to help her by using foul, twisted forms of divination that require a [sacrifice].'' You say, 'What kind of sacrifice?' Torgarath Rulour Thox's face turns sour as he responds, 'Indeed, I was able to track down the how, but not the why. The form of divination they started using involves mixing akhevan blood with vampyre blood and bringing it to the scrying pool at the northeast side of the outpost. Are you willing to gather these [reagents]?' You say, 'There's a gnome I've met who is an expert on reagents, maybe we could speak to...' Torgarath Rulour Thox interrupts you, 'No! We cannot get more people involved in this. If this is Luclin's will, then we would only be dooming others unnecessarily. You have already proven yourself not only capable, but trustworthy of this task. What we need to do now is to ruin their ritual. Luckily, the akheva here believe those who are not tied to their cause are less intelligent. Their hubris will be their undoing. I need you to collect a vial of shadow wolf blood, some akheva blood from those performing the rituals, and finally some blood from a vampyre in this valley. Since none are willing to give up their blood at the mere asking, you will have to get aggressive for this part. Return the blood to me when you are ready to move forward.' You have been assigned the task 'Gone, And Can't Be Forgotten'. Having assisted the refugees with a daring escape, you have begun to earn the trust of Diabo Sivuela's camp. You have been asked to assist Torgarath Rulour Thox with a task. Collect a sample of blood from vampyres, akheva, and shadow wolves. Specifically the ones found within the Maiden's Eye. Akhevan Blood Sample drops off akheva. Shadow Wolf Blood Sample drops off a shadow wolf. Vampyre Blood Sample drops off vampires. Torgarath Rulour Thox collects the vials you hand him, 'Yes, yes! This will do nicely!' he says as he takes all three samples and mixes them together in a vial. He whispers something as his hand holding the vial ignites in flames, causing the liquid inside to eventually bubble. Once it's bubbling, he waves his other hand over the vial and performs an incantation. The vial changes color from a dark red to a dark purple. 'Perfect, it worked! There is a device, a table specifically, in the basement of the ritual house. Smear this onto the table and this will disrupt their work for the time being.' You receive Tainted Divination Reagent. The tainted reagent must be applied to the divination table in the basement of the ritual house found within the outpost. The table is located in the southwest corner of the ritual house basement. The task updates and a familiar presence spawns. A familiar presence appears before you as you are filled with a feeling that would indicate that you have met this being before. Whoever, or whatever this is, points at you as [visions] overtake your mind's eye as several images overlap on each other, making it difficult to understand what is being shown. You say, 'visions' A familiar presence shows you the images of a great temple being destroyed by a huge storm flash into your mind. Thousands dying in a great catastrophe that happened long ago. A raging storm crushing the denizens of the outpost. The vision shifts to the very basement you are in, many akhevans huddled together trying to survive the catastrophe as the winds whip outside of the building. A group of four akhevans are [chanting] over the divination table that is in the corner of the basement. You say, 'What are they chanting?' A familiar presence shows you a vision of a group of scholars around the table. The chanting becomes deafening as you see the walls start to crumble around the survivors. For a brief moment in the chaos, you witness that the group was, for a moment, successful with their incantation. It appeared to be a protection spell to try and buy time for the survivors, but it too ultimately failed. The last thing you see is the divination table covered in blood and gore, yet intact. It appears that the table before you at this moment is the very same table that the akhevans attempted their magics on. Return to Torgarath Rulour Thox with your findings. Torgarath Rulour Thox needs to know this information. Return to him immediately. You say, 'Hail, Torgarath Rulour Thox' Torgarath Rulour Thox awaits your return eagerly. 'What did you find?' You explain the visions that you saw to him as he grows more inquisitive by the moment. 'So, they rebuild the outpost on top of the bones of the ones who died during the storm, but what is the significance of this table?' Torgarath Rulour Thox thinks for a moment and snaps his fingers as he realized what may have happened. 'There was so much magic that was bombarding the moon at that time that I bet the deaths accidentally fueled something darker without knowing it. Luclin would have seen this and passed this knowledge to the others for their rituals, but [why]?' You say, 'why' You have been given: Primal Essence of Luclin Torgarath Rulour Thox becomes startled as when you asked this question, a shade appears and points in a northern direction, towards the direction of the large scrying pool. The shade hands Torgarath Rulour Thox a vial with liquid and whispers the words 'Tainted...waters...' as the shade dissipates, as if to use the last of its energy to conjure the item. Torgarath Rulour Thox continues, 'Well, I'm guessing whatever that was wants us to continue what we are doing. It appears that whatever, or whoever that was, is asking us to do something to the waters in the scrying pool. While you do that, I'm going to try and divine who that was.' The shade you met has provided you with an item to use on the scrying pool in the outpost. The scrying pool is located on top of the northeast building in the outpost. The task updates as you get close. A familiar presence appears again after pouring the concoction into the waters, the ripples in the water show several different images happening at the same time within the ripples.One vision you think you may have seen was yourself, but from many different angles, as if many eyes have been watching you this entire time. A whisper can be heard from the back of your mind. You feel a chill across your spine as you hear the words, 'Thhhhhaaaannnnk Yyoooouuuuu' said from within your head. You say, 'Hail, Torgarath Rulour Thox' The source of the feeling you had when you first entered the Maiden's Eye may have been discovered, though what happened to it afterwards remains a mystery. Torgarath Rulour Thox says, 'Whatever you did, it was for the better. I was able to locate a tome about what may have happened in the past. The being that presented itself to us appears to be an akhevan priestess named Akelha`Ra. She was once a being of great power here, but she was destroyed and made an example of by Atenha`Ra. These two beings were once one, but one was created as a reflection of the other, a shadow if you will. This is all very fascinating, but it appears that she has been watching you for some time, probably since you first stepped foot back here. The crushing of the victims seemed to have corrupted their divination table, and only recently were they able to use that tragedy for some other plot they are planning. Good work on this!
