Ancient Denmother [ Guardian of the Cubs ]  

To run this event:

1. Kill fifty bears. You will find them in the southwest of the zone. To speed things up focus on bears that are located on a promontory of rock along the north edge of the bear area as this is where the Ancient Denmother will spawn

2. On the fiftieth kill, the Ancient Denmother will spawn on a small piece of rock on the promontory. When I did this there were also roughly a dozen bears that were on that promontory, but I do not know if they spawned with her or if they were there all along.

3. To get her single you have several strategies. I snared/punted/rooted/memblurred one along the edges and waited for her to path near that spot where I could easily get her single.

4. Any tank as good as or better than a mage earth pet will work, and probably some that are not at that level. At about 10% Gerald the Obnoxious shows up, loots the quest object, and runs off at bard speed. He covers much of the zone if you are not quick to catch him.

5. Once you locate him, target him and /sa loot. He will attack. He may be obnoxious, but he's no fighter, pretty much anyone should be able to take him down.

6. Loot the ancient claw and turn it in to the Denmother in the Druid Ring to get your weapon.
