Took him down last night on Bristlebane. Had 6 groups avg 65. There are 6 guards around him. They are not instant respawn, but have a short respawn timer (the 6 mins listed below is very close). We accidentally pulled the guards first. What a mess that was. Got them killed and while rezzing the dead,...here they come again. The only way to completely clear agro was to die, zone out, or camp (/q).

Second pass was somewhat better. Enter from the SolB side. After you come out of the small bldg just before the Gatekeeper's, there is a room on the left. Have your forces stay in that room. You have to move quickly, so have several kiters ready. Pull the guards to the entrance and keep them there as long as possible. When the guards are gone quickly rush the Gatekeeper. For his level he is not that difficult. The hardest part is keeping the guards out of the fight. If the first kiter dies another has to be ready to keep the guards entertained. We had one guard stay behind and off-tanked it while the other jumped the Gatekeeper. He dropped fairly fast, but the kiter died and the guards returned with about 2% hp on the Gatekeeper. It wasn't pretty, but we won. Then we had a rogue drag all the bodies to the front for rezzes.

Sorry for the book. He dropped the Rogue 1.5 epic piece, the shoulder pads, and a crap Scorching Flame Earring. Loot sucks for his level.

Can you just have a few TM's ready like emp encounter? or do they need to be pulled out room?

This is by far one of my favorite zones in the game. Nice to see SoE bring some action here for rogue epic 1.5. This guy and his guards are no joke. Defenitely need 4 or 5 groups to kill him.(at 65's before OOW) If you step on the lava by him, his guards will kill you fast. Wiped a 60+ group in a matter of seconds.Only real way to kill him is kite his guards around while you beat him down. (When they die he gets pissed and hits a lot harder) Fairly easy to get to with a good group of 60ish. He's always been up when I go there. Which is often. He is easiest to get to via the Kobold side(zone in is in SolB) Work on some faction in Sol A and just walk passed the Kobolds in Sol C if you don't wanna mess with em. However all mobs see invis in the zone. So if you die deep in. You are gonna need a summon

Is it jus me,...or , is the loot table for this guy a lil unbalanced and underrated in comparison to the mob? I have not faced this guy, but, judging by the posts below, and the fact this guy is stated to be lvl 75, the only really nice item i see worthy of his loot table are the wraps. As far as the rest of the loot goes,.well..I mean, Even Vindi drops a BP that is nicer than most this guys loot. Altho , tho bow is also nice, like someone else pointed out, there are other nicer ones in the game. I dunno,..for a mob of this intensity , i would think there would not only be a larger loot table , but better items.

This Guy is definitly tough as hell. We took in 4 groups the other night. WE worked out a method to pul the guards solo with a chain of fd'ers. Worked great, Monks did a fine job. We were able to kill three guards before they respawned on us. It is not a immediate respawn. i thnk we timed it at about 6 min before repops. With what we had availible we decided that we could do 2 at a time. however.. this method leads to repops before you can jump the main. took us exactly 1 min 30 sec to drop each leevl 65 guard. Our theory is to have about 6 groups. pull all 6 guards. Jump them and drop em all as quick as you can. this gives you about 4 min to drop the main mob. none of the guards are slowable at all. groups should consist of atleast 1 cleric each 1 pally each a warrior to hold disc for cuthor. and a ton of DPS. HE hits very hard. we did have some one summoned to cuthor and was hit for double 1750 and had an ae dd for 300 points. so nasty damage. If the main is slowable or not .. we do not know. We plan on taking him sometime soon on the tribunal.

Lol people think they are so stuck and uber cause they dream they have secret strats.

Anyway what this guy is referring to is the adds can be easily kited and then the named only hits for 750s

Guild went in last night to play with him some. We knew a little about him but did little more playing with him to figure him out some. He is slowable but it was partial and difficult to land at all. Pre slowing he hit for 700 or so it wasnt anything that impressed me too much and most hits were under 500 he did hit at a decent speed.

Guards hit for 400-500 but if you kill a guard culthor has a script that says something to the effect of him putting the energy of his minions to a better use. What seemed to happen was the other guards started to hit harder. I can tell you for sure they dont instant repop but they are on fast timer roughly 12 minutes.

After we killed the 6 guards i went in to test him again and not sure if it was cuz of the slow or if he was missing me a lot but he hit me about once every 20 seconds but his damage was much greater. first hit was 1750 and second hit was 800. He gets stronger as his minions die but he may also get slower. We were debating on engaging with all minions dead or trying to tank mez/kite with all of them up when they repopped and people wiped.

He also did have a dd/ae that hit me for 250 not sure what recast is if its resistable either. HP was told to be 200-300k but not sure if it inecreases/decreases with death of his guards.

Did this guy on Ayonae Ro and he most certainly isnt a 1 group encounter. He only drops one item as well! A mask that isnt listed here yet.
I really think for how difficult he is, ie. you need arond 4 groups at the least to take him down that he should drop more than 1 item.

We did the first server wide zerg on him today on sullon. he's got 5 or 6 guards around him, they are some nasty little buggers, un-sloable, un-mezable and cant be snared/rooted and dual for around 500-600, worst part about them is they insta pop after you kill them... anway.. easy strat is to kite them around the zone while the rest of the force beats the tar outa big boy. i was playing my shammy and landed malo and slow on him. he is perma rooted in his spot. didnt notice any nast aoe or spells from him. we got the soulders and legs. i was happy to get the shoulders yay HATE.

You probably don't like the Fallout series do you? The Fallout games were PACKED with references to other games. It is without doubt the best RPG ever made.

It's these kind of things that really adds flavor to a game.

Getting your own ideas are stupid. Making funny references to others material is hilarious.
