yes there is a damage cap on it until 20...no single weapon has a cap, but EVERY character has one until 20. max u can hit until then is low/high 30's (i think...i know its around 30, been a while since ive been that low :P)

From my recent experience, I had a damage cap of 21 below level 10, and a cap of 29 below level 20

Picked this up last night for 4k :p Sweet weapon with an FBSS and an enchanter hasting me :) I have a 34 dark elf SK who hits for high 80s and 90s with the occassional going over 100. Heck with 50% haste this bad boy is 30dmg 24dly!

Yeah i got this bad boy last night in a trade. I traded a wurmslayer, lammy, and 500pp for it. IT OWNZ!! 30/37 with an FBSS....mmmmmmmmmmmmm!

omm this weapon is real i got it yesterday for my 57 sk and this thing owns...blade of xagloz does not even come close the thing is there are better claidmores this is about average in the claidmore list verrant did a smart thing by putting these in it gives the option of warriors to 2hs and rangers instead of duel weilding for great damage although most will still choose duel weilding.For Hybrids though these swords are excellent and Dragon Necropolis is like a plane even harder than some planes so if it is common drop doesent mean it is common its a very hard zone to get to and you cant just go to without a very high group or a raid. Another thing about the Claidmores is they all have no stats they have just pure power another smart thing verrant did.

I went to Velious at lvl 1. Just get a port to Iceclad and walk straight til you get to Thurgadin. Then pick up loot no one wants and make a lot of money.

It is listed as a common drop because that is the default until they update the site with info on it's rarity, and what mob drops it ect. ect. They just don't have the info yet.

How come anytime a nice weapon is found someone screams fake? The zone this drops in aint an easy zone by any stretch of the imaganation either.

Why would it be posted here if it wasnt real? Sheesh...
I don't believe that it is fake, but the people who maintain this site rely upon people just like you and me to keep this database up to date with all the new items. Now some people like to fool others for some reason, so fakes do pop up now and then. Since I have no reason to disbelieve what I see here I do believe that it is real.

Hey Zaxum, instead of "All plate melees, and rangers to boot," you could just say "The usual 2HS gang." =) Most non-specific Two-hand slashers are WAR PAL RNG SHD, in case you weren't aware.
