Since they stick us with these limited use bags, and this being relatively pricey time and plat. wise (not that it's gonna break the bank in that way). Couldn't they at least make them all 10 slot? Research kits and Deluxe Sewing are fine now for instance (Yes, I know the history). Or when you used to be able to get Collapsed kits in ready supply and for a reasonable price, (buying, and selling or throwing away mixing bowls is rather annoying for instance) that did some Tannan too, it's not so bad. But this thing is an albatross imo. So as it sits in the bank collecting dust between infrequent uses it at least doesn't cut down on bank space. (Something I think has been acknowledged as necessary vis a vis the provided exspansion of said space a few times.)
I remember when little things made a difference. Before space stone travel when the world seemed almost real not like a cartoon, and was highly respected and cherished for that virtue. When many of us used spits and Deluxe sewing kits as an inexpesive way to cut weight and maximize carrying capacity. {Of course Monks take the abuse blame since they benefited most.) When the company store threw a fit and took them off the shelves because they weren't intended to be used the way we the people saw fit. Making their mistake our problem. Always sploiting that's us - lol. I remember when they begrudgingly put them back with a 4 stone weight.
I remember when we used to take sewing kits into the field (and you made sure you didn't forget one because going to the Karanas was a long trip, especially if you were from one of the other continents)to make silk swatches because spider silks didn't stack. Boy we sure have come a long way to 20 and now 100, not to mention the "auto-interface". [Of course I think Naomi or someone told them these people are loyal and addicted so before they start canceling their accounts because they can't play anymore and commence with the repetative motion law suits maybe you better give in and improve things asap.]
Point(s) being there are numerous examples over almost a decade of time. That the company oft times doesn't "get it" right but gets credit for the times it has shown the ability to make things better. Let's apply those lessons here. Let's make a 10 slot Jewlery Bag that does at least many of the tasks. (I admit I have been beaten into submission of not daring to ask for "all") "We have the technology..." (Ack! No I am not suggesting it cost 6M plat.)
Trade skillers are probably in general some of the most industrious among us, yet are penalised time and again. As if since not enough of us bought into one of the company's bad ideas we are the bad ones. We see many a new exspansion not only add some new specific concoction but make obsolete or worn the tried and true. Or now the worse, go back and need something for a new expansion that is in an expansion "5" generations ago that basically no one plays anymore (Scale Ore/Palladium Trio). Trust me this isn't a way to get people to go back to the hay days except on the most limited basis. (Yeah, the wound for Shaman isn't forgotten either) This simply is not how to motivate carrot lovers. Because all we feel (once again) is the stick.
Request off ;-)
Wow, I turned requesting a 10 slot jewelery bag into a freakin book. Don't worry Alla is good at editing things out over time. For those whom my long windedness brought back memories - I am glad. For those of you whom it annoys - <rude gesture>, For those of you who don't have a clue about much of it - there once was a place called Camelot <strike> I mean Norrath. Where you were an avatar (you didn't have "toons")and playing meant the rush of adrenaline, your blood boling, your spine tingling, relief, triumph, anguish, fighting down fear least it turn to panic, comradery, your reputation, love, your emotional emersion into a world as real as Earth, but more. A place where you could be who you wanted to be. Where a Paladin went out and di a good dead evryday, where a warrior woudl return to his home town after a long campaign abroad to share some of the spoils with the towns folk. Where people & guilds held spectacular weddings in pictursque places. Where a dashing Bard played lilting tunes as the battle ravaged recovered. Where a woodelf foraged a rose and brought it back to his future mate as they conversed in a meadow. When folks spent the time to go drinking in one of the many bars - for fun, imagine that. When the gnome came to town and used to sneak up under the high elves robes, excusing himself as he was only trying to keep his head warm, oh ok let's not go there - well it happened. But that was the game eons ago, now misting to myth and legend, only left to be thought a fantasy of the old and feeble. When the majority interacted for the journey and the destination. not just the destination. Where the lessons were a lewt sometimes greater than the reward. But as many of us know you have ruined your lands and now mine. No amount of personal archeology is going to raise from the ruins what simply can not be returned to. For all of those who played then I salute your greatness - here's to you and your command of the Golden Age of Everquest. To those of the contemporary only - make no mistake about it you've never really played. You're playing (with) Humpty Dumpty, after the fall.
Atm (start Feb 2005) you cannot use this container and the inlaid recipes. However you can use it as you would any 2nd container opened, IF you do following.
Hold cursor over the bag (inventory slot) and press CRTL+Right-clk-mouse.
You can now use it like you would on any experimental recipy.
I think this container is now buged as of the patch a week ago. I tried with all my different toons as well. /rude SoE "If it isn't broke, don't fix it."
Edit: Many complaints have been listed on the EQ live forum http://eqforums.station.sony.com/eq/board/message?board.id=Veterans&message.id=57013 With any luck they will fix it when Dragons is released. Here's hoping.
You must turn in a Turpeta shell which is no drop :( I can't take my 54 Ranger to farm one. Guess I'll just camp my 34 Chanty and have him loot it after.
