I'm somewhat ambivalent toward this item. The AC is nice, as is the sv. Magic. The only reason I see to have this equiped would be if you happened to already have your INT or WIS maxed (or close enough to it) and needed the extra AC/Mana/Sv.

I'm actually wondering if it's possibly used for some kind of as yet undiscovered quest. Curious.
