Lost Dungeons of Norrath
This is one of the few items I've come across that allow a type 3 augmentation.
Type 3 slots exist only on LDoN bought equipment. However, it is possible to acquire a full suit for any given class, and with the new Sullon equipment currently on test, you can even fill the non-graphic slots with a type 3 aug. While the pieces don't compare all that favourably with some of the high-end items available in game, the versatility of the type 3 slot makes them quite useful, as you can give any piece FT 2, or Vengeance 3, or a number of other effects.
