Classes: The Druid

Druids - a powerful outdoor class. With the triple ability to heal, inflict direct damage and cast damage over time, druids are a popular solo class, as well as popular in a group. They are also a travelling class, given both sow and teleportation abilities.

How should you play your druid to make the best use of his abilities? What are the best solo strategies? How should the druid be played within a group? What spells are the most and least useful? What skills should you develop?

Post your strategies on how to best play and develop the Druid and read, rate and comment on what others have to say.

So it seems to me that Druids can do just about everything. They can heal, have some buffs, have snares, dots, and decent melee. My question is what is a Druids strongest ares? Dots? Snares? Nukeage? What? How does this differ when solo and in a group?

I played with a group last night that had a Druid. The Druid didn't have snare (and they paid for it). So I was just wondering what is most useful about them? I like my Druid!

I would say versatility is druid's strongest point. As a druid I have different ways I can solo and I also have different functions I can perform in a group.

In a group I can cast DoT, Snare, Direct Damage, buff (speed, damage shield, strength) and port or I can perform the healer role, using my regenerative spells and my healing spells. As a soloist I can do all the same things to accomplish my goals.

I'm only 66 but I find as I go to more zones I am limited only by my lack of knowledge of the zone. The ability or possibility to adapt his/her role (function) to whatever is needed (within our power/class)is what is most useful about a druid. IMHO.
